Our Veterinarians

Dr. Pamela Boyd, DVM

Dr. Boyd graduated cum laude from Washington State University in 1995. Dr. Boyd worked as an associate veterinarian in the states of Washington and New York prior to moving to Arizona in 2010. She worked at West Olive Animal Hospital, in Peoria, until 2014 and Desert View Animal Hospital, in east Phoenix, until 2017 when she and her husband, Jeff, decided to found Gentle Hearts Animal Hospital. She enjoys practicing general veterinary medicine and surgery, especially along with a dedicated and caring team who are always looking to improve their clinical knowledge and skills. Dr. Boyd enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 sons, Samuel and JJ, and with friends when she is not working.

Dr. Robin Barry Hosking, DVM

Dr. Hosking attended Arizona State University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s in Conservation Biology and Ecology, and Oregon State University, where he graduated cum laude with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. He has experience in feline shelter medicine and wildlife medicine, and in his free time can be found volunteering at Liberty Wildlife in Phoenix. Dr. Hosking also enjoys ceramic sculpture/art, bouldering, and hiking. He has three cats, Burke, Chase, and Ghost, and one terrier mix dog, Noodles.

Our Office Manager

Natalie, Office Manager

Natalie graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Honolulu, HI where she obtained her Bachelors in Zoology in 2009. She was born and raised in the Catskill Mountains of New York. She has lived in New York, Hawaii, South Carolina, North Carolina, and now Arizona. She enjoys being able to live close to family since her husband retired from the USMC in 2016. Natalie has worked with animals since she was 16 years old in animal hospitals, aquariums, and nature parks. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons & many pets.

Our Veterinary Technicians

Andrea

Andrea is a proud graduate with a BS in Veterinary Science from the University of Arizona. She is a mom to her fur babies, Penny the Australian Shepherd, Dutch the lab mix, and her two cats, Rigatoni and Fettuccine. When not working, she loves to take road trips, spend time with family and play with her pets. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2015 and is excited to continue her passion!

Andrea B.

Andrea B. (aka Drea) joined us in June of 2021. She was born and raised in Arizona and has always loved taking care of animals. She always knew she wanted to help animals in any way. Andrea graduated from Pima Medical Institute with a Vet Assistant Certificate. Julius Peppers and Luke are her two dogs. In her free time, she loves to dance, play with her car, and play with her dogs.

Gabby

Gabby was raised in California and moved to Arizona in 2012. When growing up, she always knew she wanted to work in the medical field and had a passion for animals—so she combined the two! Less than 2 years after graduating high school, she earned her Veterinary Assistant Certification from Pima Medical Institute and has been working with animals ever since. She is always working on furthering her knowledge and skills in veterinary medicine. Gabby has two dogs, Harvey & Evo, and a cat, Nismo. When she’s not working she enjoys outdoor activities, road trips, and cuddling with her pets.

Vivianna

Vivianna is from Idaho and moved to Arizona in 2005. She graduated from Carrington College in 2019 and absolutely loves working in the veterinary field. In her free time she likes to paint and hang out with friends and family. Vivianna has 2 cats, Nova and Destiny, and 1 dog, Amaya.

Mady

Mady was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Arizona in 2010. She completed the veterinary assistant program at West-Mec in 2020, and has been working in the veterinary field ever since. In her spare time she enjoys outdoor activities, working out, and spending time with her friends and family. Mady has four huskies (Yeti, Grizzly, Juneau and Lumi) and a bearded dragon.

Lizzy

Lizzy joined Gentle Hearts Animal Hospital in April of 2024. She was born and raised in Arizona. Lizzy obtained her associates in Arts & General Education in 2017 and graduated from PIMA with a Vet Assistant Certificate in 2018. Lizzy knew she wanted to be in the veterinary field when she was just 10 years old. She is a “fur mom” to two beagles, Lily & Roxie, and a Holland Lop bunny named Arya. In her free time, Lizzy enjoys crafting and yoga.

Alexys

Alexys joined the Gentle Hearts team in September of 2024. She was raised in Montana and moved to Arizona at the end of 2020. Alexys obtained her Veterinary Assistant certificate at Pima Medical Institute in the beginning of 2024. She worked several years at various animal shelters around Arizona and throughout her childhood in Montana. In her free time she loves to play with her two cats, Bagheera and Walle, and go to Dave and Buster’s with friends and family.

Our Receptionists

Kim

Kim moved to Arizona in the fall of 2018 from Pennsylvania. She has enjoyed working at a couple of veterinary hospitals since 2004. She likes working with animals and enjoys the different pet names clients come up with. Kim and her husband, Tim, had two fur babies—Zoe the Weimaraner and Jade the German Shorthaired Pointer/Border Collie Mix. They loved to play with tennis balls and go for long walks. In Kim’s free time, she enjoys golfing and bowling. She also enjoys doing charitable work with the Elks Lodge and visiting Elks Lodges around the United States with her husband.

Sirena

Sirena moved to Arizona from California in 2017, joined Gentle Hearts Animal Hospital in September 2021 and has been in the veterinary field for 27 years. She has worked in all areas of the veterinary hospital but finds herself most at home in reception, where she can help enrich the bond between pets and their people through client education with a gentle approach. In her spare time, Sirena enjoys going to the drag races or just hanging out with her husband and two bulldogs, Hemi and Donovan.

Cindy

Cindy joined the Gentle Hearts Animal Hospital in February 2021. After a long career as a Registered Veterinary Technician, Cindy decided to take on a new role. Whether it is scheduling your appointment on the phone or greeting you as you enter our lobby, Cindy is here to take care of you and your fur babies at the reception desk. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities, reading, and relaxing. Cindy shares her home with her husband and her cats, Mike and Sulley.
